Defective Number or Deficient Number

Defective Number or Deficient Number

               A number which is greater than the sum of its factors other than itself.

For example,
  10 is a defective number,

since the factors of 10 other than 10 are,
1,2, & 5, 
and its sum 1+2+5=8 is less than 10 itself.
